| White Denim |
White Denim is a freewheeling American rock and roll band formed in Austin, Texas in 2006. Over nearly 20 years and 13 albums the band has continued to energetically explore new territory, consistently delivering a musically sophisticated and inventive product both on record and on stage. James Petralli and his exceptional group put the music first. You will not see a better live band if you live to be a million.
| Tagua Tagua |
Based in Sao Paulo and formed in 2017, Tagua Tagua is headed by songwriter and producer Felipe Puperi. Felipe, having fronted Wannabe Jalva for several years, has a somewhat extensive indie-sh resume, having played at Lollapalooza, supported shows for Pearl Jam and Jack White; got featured at KCRW, NY Times, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan and WFUV.
Felipe’s own project, Tagua Tagua makes a name for himself as one of the most promising acts in Brazilian music nowadays. Besides being praised in Brazil, they’ve been starting to get some atenttion overseas. The artist has been featured on NPR and Remezcla, got a song on FIFA 20 and has supported shows for The Growlers.
After two released EPs, “Tombamento Inevitável” (2017) and “Pedaço Vivo” (2018), Tagua Tagua released his first LP “Inteiro Metade” (2020). The album intertwines tropical psychedelia, the principles of ye ye ye and the influence of funk and soul figures. Dominated by supple melodies and dreamlike timbres, all songs have been written and recorded pretty much by Felipe himself, mixed by fellow Wannabe Jalva Tiago Abrahão and mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys, Chet Faker).
In 2023, “TANTO” was released, their second LP, a neosoul/R’n’B album that gave the band the chance to tour the world playing live, with tours in the US, Europe and all over Brazil.
The next step is the release of their new album “RAIO”, an energetic 9-track record, once again on the Wonderwheel Recordings label.
