Oxbow Beer Garden is our Western Maine outpost and is conveniently located on Rt. 26 in Oxford. Oxbow Beer Garden consists of restaurant and taproom that is located in a renovated 200-year-old barn. There is also a small bottle shop/tasting room that is located in a fermentation space that will produce specialty blends for the restaurant.
The restaurant specializes in wood-fired, naturally-leavened pizza featuring Main grains and local, estate-grown toppings. Our food is complemented by our own farmhouse ales, house-made sodas and select natural wines. The farmlands surrounding the restaurant have produced exceptional fruits and vegetables for generations and we are continuing these operations to generate ingredients for our kitchen.
The Oxbow Beer Garden is adjacent to an extensive Nordic skiing trail system, formerly known as Carter’s XC Ski, that was built and maintained by the local Carter family for decades. We are pleased to offer access to this free, use-at-your-own-risk network of beautiful mixed-use trails that run through the fields and forest behind this new Oxbow location. Nordic skis, fat bikes and snowshoes are available to rent on site from the nonprofit organization Portland Gear Hub.
Trails are open for XC Skiing & Snowshoeing!
Rentals are available Saturday & Sunday 11-4pm.
Dogs are welcome on the trails.
No walking on trails allowed.
