Oxbow Beer Garden is our Western Maine outpost and is conveniently located on Rt. 26 in Oxford. Oxbow Beer Garden consists of a small bottle shop/tasting room that is located in a fermentation space that will produce specialty blends for the upcoming restaurant (located in an adjacent 200-year-old barn) and outdoor beer garden that will open by summer of 2019.
The restaurant will feature a Maine-made wood-fired oven and focus on pizza, as well as seasonally-available meats and produce. The farmlands surrounding the restaurant have produced exceptional fruits and vegetables for generations and we will continue these operations to generate estate-grown ingredients for our kitchen.
Our Oxford operations are also adjacent to an extensive Nordic skiing trail system, formerly known as Carter’s XC Ski, that was built and maintained by the local Carter family for decades. We are pleased to offer access to this free, use-at-your-own-risk network of beautiful mixed-use trails that run through the fields and forest behind this new Oxbow location. We are tremendously grateful to the Carter family for the continued access to these trails and encourage you all to enjoy them safely and respectfully. Nordic skiing is the primary focus, but feel free to snowshoe or ride fat bikes. Walking or running without snowshoes in the winter is not allowed, but welcome when there is no snow. Come on up, go for a ski and then join us in the bottle shop to enjoy a beer in our cozy space! More info on the restaurant coming soon!
