Foraging Walk at Oxbow Newcastle with Rachel Alexandrou
Join us for a foraging walk at Oxbow Newcastle with one of our local foragers, Rachel Alexandrou. Discover the hidden gifts of plants as you explore the beautiful surroundings of the Jones Woods pond and trails.
This in-person event will take place Friday, July 21 2-4pm
During the walk, Rachel will share her knowledge of edible, medicinal and material uses of plants; teaching how to identify and gather them sustainably. Learn about the fascinating uses of these of our flora within the biodiversity of the sheepscot river valley.
The event will be held at 274 Jones Woods Road, Newcastle, ME 04553. The small pond, our farm fields, and woodland trails provide the perfect backdrop for a foraging walk. Prepare to immerse yourself in nature and experience the thrill of learning about edible and medicinal plants.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced forager, this event offers a unique opportunity to connect with the plants in our current landscape. Don’t miss out on this lovely experience! Reserve your spot now.
