Oxbow Beer Garden is our Western Maine outpost and is conveniently located on Rt. 26 in Oxford. Oxbow Beer Garden consists of restaurant, bar and event space that is located in a renovated 200-year-old barn.
The restaurant specializes in wood-fired, naturally-leavened pizza featuring Maine grains and local, estate-grown toppings. Our food is complemented by our own farmhouse ales, and select natural wines. The farmlands surrounding the restaurant have produced exceptional fruits and vegetables for generations and we are continuing these operations to generate ingredients for our kitchen.
The Oxbow Beer Garden is adjacent to an extensive Nordic skiing trail system, formerly known as Carter’s XC Ski, that was built and maintained by the local Carter family for decades. We are pleased to offer access to this free, use-at-your-own-risk network of beautiful mixed-use trails that run through the fields and forest behind this new Oxbow location. Nordic skis and snowshoes are available to rent on site from the nonprofit organization Portland Gear Hub. Reservations for equipment can be made by clicking The Portland Gear Hub link below!

Come and enjoy a relaxing stay year round at this unique farmhouse in the foothills of Western Maine. This 200 year old home is adjacent to Oxbow Beer Garden and centrally located to many beautiful lakes and mountains. In the winter months this home is a great launching place for skiers and snowmobilers alike, with ski-on ski-off access to Oxbow’s Nordic trails and the local snowmobile trail network. The warmer months offer countless local options for fishing, biking, hiking and more!
The Farmhouse at Oxbow Beer Garden
Be sure to check out Welchville Woods Disc Golf, a brand new 18 hole disc golf course! This course utilizes the cross country skiing trails on the property with a mixture of open field holes & technical wooded fairways. Open 7 days a week, 10 dollars for all day play!
